Civil Site Development for a Kelowna Educational Facility

First Tracks Contracting completed excavation and civil site development work at École de l'Anse-au-sable in Kelowna, supporting site improvements associated with modular buildings used for childcare.

Working alongside general contractor Highland, our team completed excavation for modular building pads, material removal, underground civil utilities and a range of supporting site improvements.

The project included parking lot construction, curbs and islands, an oil interceptor, pathways and improvements to the school's outdoor play areas.

The parking area measured approximately 54 × 64 feet, with an additional 46 × 60-foot basketball pad.

As part of the play-area improvements, First Tracks installed drainage to address water accumulation and help prevent ponding.

Work on school play areas was scheduled during the offseason to accommodate the facility's operations.

Using excavators ranging from 3.5 to 13.5 tonnes, along with a skid steer, trucks, trailers and compaction equipment, our team handled the excavation and site preparation required across the various work areas.
