Creating the Foundation for a Luxury Outdoor Living Space

First Tracks Contracting completed an extensive retaining wall project for a Kelowna residential property, constructing five reinforced retaining walls totalling approximately 280 linear feet (85 metres).

The project involved significant changes in elevation, with the goal of building up and preparing the yard to accommodate a future infinity pool.

The largest retaining wall measured approximately 100 feet long and 10 feet high, with four additional walls ranging from five to six feet in height.

Working with GeoPacific's design and drainage guidance, First Tracks incorporated geogrid reinforcement and four-inch drainage pipe into the retaining wall construction.

A four-tonne excavator equipped with a specialized block pickup clamp was used to position the Barkman retaining wall blocks.

Throughout the approximately three-month construction period, our team maintained driveway access for the homeowner while completing excavation and wall installation. Irrigation work was completed following the retaining wall construction.
